The aim of the article is to familiarize the reader with the model of diagnosis applied to socially maladjusted boys, who were paced in the Youth Educational Centre because of juvenile court’s judgment. YEC in Jaworek is one of the ninety-five such places in Poland, which uses a proprietary model of diagnosis based on a three-stage diagnosis procedure. The essence of this model is to design the process of social reintegration (individual, adopted to pupil’s needs) based on educational activities (re-education and rehabilitation, formation of habits of compliance with standards and social principles on the basis of universal moral and ethical values) to prepare young people to full participation in the society (social inclusion).
