The role of leadership in quality management in the enterprise

Although thousands of thinkers and researchers interested in issues of leadership, it
is noted that it is one of the most widely studied, but least understood issues in the social sciences. The concept of leadership remains elusive and enigmatic, despite numerous efforts to
develop intellectually and emotionally satisfactory its interpretation. Interest in the subject of leadership also entails the formation of a number of theories that try to explain why some people
are leaders and others do not, why some individuals are able to influence others and lead to
achieve the objective and the other is it will never succeed. Currently in quality management is
increasing the role of leadership. The article attempts to present the importance of leadership at
the stage of development and implementation of quality management system according to ISO
9001. Hypothesized that leadership style is directly correlated with the effectiveness of the tasks
in the process of developing and implementation of the quality management system.
