This paper deals with linguistic representation of intercultural communication
and ethnocultural dissonance between French and Moroccan in the modern
Francophone literature. A novel by French-speaking Moroccan writer Fouad Laroui
A Year with the French is taken under analysis to examine the representation
of Franco-Moroccan contacts.
