Abstract

In his works Clemens Setz depicts various forms of masculinity, which can be multiform, often oscillating between extremes, e. g. an overly violent or passive-feminine masculinity. Representations of cultural atavism or general negativity, among other things, correspond with concepts of masculinity. The problem of father-son-dissonance and homosexual motifs are also addressed.
