This article analyzes the perception of Soviet Russia by the Poles who have been exiled to the territory of modern Perm Region in the 1940s as a result of Stalin's repressions. The research of the texts of recollections written by former exiles between middle 80's and late 00’s shows that the political aspect has played the most significant role in the way the exiled Poles perceived the Soviet reality. Their perception was to the great extent was formed by political aspect. The "Friend" – “foe” conflict that is central for the Polish exile camp’s memoirist achieves the maximum sharpness and intensity in the political space. Distinctly antagonistic attitude of the exiled towards the Soviet state and the Communist ideology extended to cover all the following spheres of Soviet life without exception: household, ideological, sexual and linguistical.
