Abstrakt

The dynamic development of the transport of the twentieth century largely contributed to the increased use of non-renewable natural resources and greater environmental degradation. For the opposition to this situation, the European Union has developed a Strategy Europe 2020, which is the most important element of sustainable development, which is to be based on efficient, competitive and green economy on the scale of both the EU and national level. The paper presents the essence of sustainable development, transport policy objectives, socio-economic European Union for sustainable development.
