A hoard of Roman Empire denarii from the 1st and 2nd centuries AD found onthe grounds of the village of Grochówka

The document describes the discovery of the treasure of denarii of the Roman Empire from the 1st and 2nd centuries AD on the land of the village of Grochówka in Poland. The discovery took place in September 1887, when noblemen were digging a ditch on the streak and found over 500 Roman coins. The place were the treasure was found was a wet meadow through which a small stream flowed, separating the lan of village of Krzewica from the land of the village of Grochówka. The treasure contained denarii from the times of four or five Roman emperors, was welle as empresses Faustina and Justina. Information about finding the treasure appeared in the press, and although it is not knokn who exactly found it. It is known that the parish priest of Międzyrzec, Adolf Pleszczyński, confirmed the authenticity of the coins. There are several different locations where the treasure was found, but from the arguments presented in the documnet it follows that the treasure was found on the land if the village of Grochówka and should be referred to as Grochówka Treasure.
