The article analyzes the concept of identity security in the context of contemporary socio-cul-tural changes, especially in the era of liquid modernity, as described by Zygmunt Bauman. It highlights the crucial role of identity in building a sense of belonging and social stability, and discusses the impact of glob-alization, migration, technology, and the development of social media on the processes of shaping and trans-mitting values and cultural norms. Particular attention is given to the erosion of traditional sources of author-ity and the transmission of identity from one generation to the next, which leads to an increased sense of uncertainty and destabilization in societies. The article explores the relationship between identity security and socio-cultural security, emphasizing that the protection of identity concerns not only the individual but also has a collective dimension, linked to the maintenance of social and cultural cohesion in the face of con-temporary challenges. From the perspective of security studies, strategies for protecting identity values are proposed, such as social integration, countering disinformation, and social education. The aim of the article is to show how modern threats impact the stability of identity and the challenges societies face in ensuring identity security in a globalizing world.
