Prospects of the development of the intermodal transport in Poland

Abstract

The intermodal transport constitutes the real chance for the Polish transport system, because
streamlining and lightening the motor transport constitutes him. The intermodal transport consists in the
join during the transport of different branches of the transport, however here the same integrated loading
individual is a base on the entire route of the transport. Aspects of the environmental protection, safeties
which and improvements of the transport are forcing the need into exploiting this type of transport. And
so these factors affect the development of the intermodality of the transport.
