The Radiance Of Non-Existence (Regarding The Problem Of Metaphysics Of Light and Darkness In Russian Twentieth Century Philosophy and Literature)

Abstract

The article presents interpretation of Alexander Blok’s poem «Sphere incandescent» (1912). The author shows that this poem’s central conception is a version of a famous «pyramid of light and darkness». This symbol he traces back to platonic and neo-platonic traditions of European culture. In the poem it is connected with ancient doctrine of apokatastasis.
